About Us - Pet Stop of The Peninsula and East Bay

Owner Shawn Hartje has been servicing and installing pet fencing solutions since 2003.  His product knowledge, installation skills, and professional dog and cat training skills ensure the highest success rate for your pets.

Shawn began working in the dog fence industry under Chris Steinfeld installing and servicing the Invisible Fence brand. In a joint decision with Chris, Shawn made the switch to endorse the Pet Stop brand of dog fence. His focus is to offer his customers only the highest quality products and provide a permanent pet solution for owners and their pets.

Under the tutelage of Chris, Shawn gained experience with all types of pet fence systems.  To keep up with the growing demand for Pet Stop fencing, he started his own Pet Stop dealership in 2007 to meet the needs of pet owners on the other sides of San Francisco Bay.  Shawn's professional and conscientious approach to the business have since earned him many satisfied customers across this beautiful region. 

Bay Area Dog Fence provides direct manufacturer warranties only on Pet Stop® brand electronic fence products and is not affiliated with any pet containment manufacturer other than Pet Stop®.

Bay Area Dog Fence sells and or services all other brands of pet containment including Invisible Fence® , PetSafe®, Radio Fence®, Underground Pet Fencing Co, Innotek®, Smart Dog® Dog Watch®, Pet Guardian® and others as an independent contractor.  We provide product upgrades, exchanges, trade-ins and replacements.
